Local Hand Delivery – Sydney Metro

For those who would prefer, Swanes has a company driver who manages hand delivery of orders to Greater Sydney areas. For all one-man, hand-offloaded orders we offer a flat-rate weekly delivery service of $30, $50 or $90 depending on your postcode.

Oversize, heavy or for the installation of pots and oversized plants we will need to quote special delivery costs.

Local bulk delivery refers to hand-offloaded one-man road deliveries which are delivered to front yard or front building entrance only. Next Day Delivery surcharges may apply. Two-man or crane deliveries are quoted separately.

Contactless Delivery

To keep our staff and customers safe deliveries are contactless. Our driver will not enter your home or building, delivering instead to the front door or garden. Our driver will also take photos as proof of delivery, you don’t need to sign any paperwork.

Bulk delivery outside Sydney Metro

We're more than happy to deliver to destinations outside of the Sydney metropolitan area and even interstate using our post/courier network or if necessary our bulk transport network.

Notes:

Potted plants, bulb & seeds can not be shipped to WA, TAS or NT addresses due to Quarantine restrictions.

Online orders are assigned to the first available shipping date & details are confirmed by email. Then, if necessary, you are welcome to re-schedule to a date that suits you better.

Swanes process website and mail orders manually, a refund will be issued if any order changes are required. Our team will keep you informed of these changes.

Swanes utilises the delivery services of AusPost and a range of Courier providers and our own truck delivery service. The carrier selected will depend on the quantity of items, size & weight and the delivery address nominated.

Bulky goods that can not be packaged into a box can delivered to Greater Sydney address by our own truck delivery service. Contact us for a Quote.

Where possible, Swanes will combine delivery of different pot size items and refund a portion of the freight component once your order has processed through the Checkout.

Please review the freight charges listed at the checkout before completing your purchase. A completed order is taken as your acceptance of freight charges levied.

Bulky goods:

These are items that can't be packed into Swanes custom designed boxes: plants in pots bigger than 200mm, allied garden products weighing more than 7kg or liquids with a volume greater than 1L.

Swanes delivers to Greater Sydney addresses once a week. Cost is calculated on the delivery address distance from Swanes Garden Centre stores.

We will not deliver to households that are required to be isolating by NSW Health.

Plants in 200mm pots:

5 or more, postage is $12 per plant

2 - 4, postage is $14 per plant

1, postage is $18

Some tall or heavy items/plants may be charged at $28 per item

Plants in 140mm pots:

5 or more, postage is $8 per plant

2 - 4, postage is $10 per plant

1, postage is $14

Bare root / Winter Roses:

1 - 10 plants (bush, climbing, David Austin &/or Delbard) postage is $20

11+ plants (bush, climbing, David Austin &/or Delbard) postage is $25

1 - 10 plants (that include 1 or more standard roses) courier fee is $50

11+ plants (that include 1 or more standard roses) courier fee is $55

TAS, NT & WA orders require a NSW DPI Quarantine Certificate, charged at $25 per order.

Please note that interstate authorities may charge additional fees.

Winter / bare root Roses

Winter Rose orders open as soon as the final crop count is confirmed by our grower, usually early in the New Year. Shipping begins early in June. Typically, last orders are shipped by the end of August.

Winter roses are typically shipped by Australia Post but this may vary based on items ordered and the delivery address.

Swanes Winter Roses are shipped in a box, bound in a waterproof bag after dipping through a moisture retaining gel. Consignment tracking is sent to your email &/or mobile.

Potted Roses

Potted Bush Roses are available for shipping Spring through Autumn, or while stocks last. Potted roses are typically shipped once weekly on a Friday, and can be expected to arrive early the following week. Consignment tracking is sent to your email &/or mobile.

Potted roses are shipped in a specially designed Swanes box. Pots are enclosed in plastic and held securely by 3 push in tabs.

Please remove the plant from the bottom of the box after pushing out the tabs to allow the plant to slide out easily.

Swanes Gift Cards

Digital Gift Card

Digital gift card purchases are dispatched to the recipient's email address at the time of order receipt.

Posted Gift Card

Posted gift cards are shipped to the recipients address the same or next business day of order receipt via Regular Australia Post.

For urgent gift cards, please use the Digital Gift Card option or contact us.

Click & Collect Orders

During the Covid pandemic, please comply with all NSW Government requirements. Do not visit if unwell or advised by NSW Health to isolate.

Wear a mask, maintain social distancing and use the Service NSW QR code to check in & out.

For Contactless Pick-up, park and call the store. A staff member will bring your order to you. Please be patient as COVID restrictions are impacting our staffing levels.
 

How do I collect an online order?

Select the option to pick up at Swanes Dural at checkout.

You will be notified via email when it is ready for pick up - typically 2 - 4 business days.

Bare pre-ordered winter/bare root rose order will be assigned the earliest available pick-up week in June - July - refer to your email confirmation.

Important: Print or show your invoice to collect your order.

Contactless collection

Do not visit if unwell or if you have been advised to stay at home & isolate by NSW Government Health orders.

Please park in a designated bay and phone the store, a staff member will bring your order to you.

When in-store, please comply with NSW Government Health requirements: wear a mask, scan the NSW Service QR code to check in & out and maintain social distancing.
